Corporate Payroll Administrator or Specialist

Summary

This individual will assist the Company’s Corporate Payroll Department in processing data for all the Company’s payroll needs. The successful candidate will possess initiative and drive, have payroll and general business knowledge and have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Maintain payroll information by collecting, calculating and entering data.
  • Update payroll records by entering changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, and other duties/special projects as requested.
  • Prepares reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and nontaxable wages.
  • Prepares employee verifications and unemployment claims.
  • Reconciles Benefit insurance billing.
  • Resolves payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.
  • Provides payroll information by answering questions and requests.
  • Maintains payroll operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes.
  • Maintains employee confidence and protects payroll operations by keeping information confidential.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in Payroll/ General Business Administration
  • Ability to analyze data and problem solve discrepancies.
  • Knowledge of Federal and Multi-State Payroll Laws;
  • Some college preferred but not required; High School Diploma or G.E.D required
  • HCM software knowledge required, ADP knowledge a plus.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Outstanding computer skills including experience with Microsoft Excel (e.g pivot, vlookup)
  • Attention to detail, organized and thorough.
  • Trustworthy and ability to maintain confidentiality of data.
  • Bilingual: English/Spanish
  • Must be willing to work in Burbank, CA [no relocations]
  • Must be willing to undergo a pre-employment background investigation
  • Must have legal authorization to work in the United States
  • Must be willing to work overtime, holiday or weekends on short notice
  • Must be 18 years or older
