Radio Production Assistant


We are Houston’s KTJM 98.5fm & 103.3fm (La Raza), KQQK 107.9fm (El Norte), KEYH 850am and KNTE 101.7fm (La Ranchera), looking for a radio production person with creative ideas to create client commercials and station imaging.  You must know how to operate Sound Forge and Vegas Audio programs.   This is an entry level position.  If you’re comfortable with technical equipment, we will train you!

  • Produce/Edit commercials.
  • Maintain a high quality on the air.
  • Make sure everything airs the next day.
  • Comply with deadlines.
  • Make sure the product is sent to sales to be approved by client.
  • Responsible for the equipment we use.
  • Notify supervisor in case of any discrepancies.
  • Be aware of any immediate changes on the air.
  • Familiarize with the music we air.
  • Record talent/clients.
  • Operation of Sound Forge, Vegas Audio and Trim Label & Convert programs
  •  Must have good writing skills.
  • Able to identify, guide and coach voice-talent.
  • Voiceover ability is a plus.
  • Basic MS Office Skills.
  • Basic Windows skills a must.
  • At least 1 year of commercial radio producing experience.
  • Strong verbal, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a high pressured, fast paced environment.
  • Bilingual: English/Spanish required.
  • Must be willing to work flexible schedule Mon – Fri 4:30 pm – 1:30 am (subject to change)
  • Comfortable around technical equipment.
  • Must be willing to work in Houston, TX.
  • Must be willing to undergo a pre-employment background investigation.
  • Must have legal authorization to work in the United States.
  • Must be 18 years or older.
