Receptionist

Summary

We are Houston's KZJL– TV, Estrella TV Channel 61, KQQK 107.9 fm (El Norte), KEYH 850 am/ 107.7fm (La Ranchera), KTJM 98.5fm (La Raza), KJOJ 103.3fm ( La Raza) the #4 Hispanic market, searching for a great bilingual (English/Spanish) Receptionist to join our Houston Team. 

We are LBI Media, Inc., the largest privately-held, minority-owned Spanish-language broadcaster in the United States with TV and radio stations operating in several top Hispanic markets, parent company of the Estrella TV Network, and the only US based Producer of Spanish-language programming.  We are looking for high energy and passionate people who want to grow with us.

  • Promptly, accurately, professionally and courteously receives 100% of all telephone calls.
  • Ensure calls are transferred to the corresponding staff members/departments on a timely manner.
  • Update Employee Phone List accordingly and distribute to all staff.
  • Manages the security gate entrance to the facility and that all visitors sign in.
  • Greets all visitors, informs staff of visitors, ensures all have a visitors badge.
  • Adapt to using all features of the telephone system and voice mail.
  • When on duty, ensures the reception station is staffed 100% of the time.
  • Maintains knowledge of current postal regulations and services frequently used by the organization.
  • Manages 100% of all office incoming mail; distributing accordingly to all personnel and/or departments.
  • Manage 100% of all outgoing mail to ensure accurate weight, coding, sorting, affixing postage, proper addressing, and preparation of certified/rush/overnight/return receipt mail.
  • Keeps immediate supervisor well-informed of activities, results of efforts and problems identified.
  • Respects confidentiality in discussing participant/consumer, staff, volunteers and organizational matters.
  • Maintains all promotion giveaways for customer daily pickups.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Strong computer knowledge (Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills with a strong customer service orientation
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a high pressured, fast paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Problem solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Detail oriented and ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Professional appearance
  • Excellent phone etiquette skills
  • Bilingual: ability to read, write and speak English/Spanish.
  • Must be willing to work in Houston, TX.
  • Must be willing to undergo a pre-employment background investigation
  • Must have legal authorization to work in the United States
  • Must be willing to work overtime on short notice.
  • Ability to lift over 40 lbs
  • Must be able to sit, stand, stoop, bend, and reach overhead throughout an 8 hour day.
  • Must be 18 years or older
